Landing in Motherhood: A 12-Week Therapy Group for New Moms

Motherhood is often joyful, meaningful, exhausting, lonely, overwhelming, and beautiful—all at the same time. Many new mothers find themselves carrying more than they expected: changes in identity, relationships, work, body image, confidence, and mental health.

Many mothers describe the early months as a period of rapid transformation. The kind of emotional growth, identity shifts, and life changes that might once have unfolded over years can seem compressed into a matter of weeks or months. While becoming a mother can be deeply meaningful, it can also feel disorienting, physically demanding, emotionally intense, and at times profoundly lonely.

This 12-week therapy group offers a supportive space to slow down, connect with other mothers in the community, and explore your own experience of becoming a parent.

Together we will explore:

  • The emotional, physical, spiritual transition into motherhood

  • Anxiety, overwhelm, and the pressure to "do it right"

  • Identity shifts and the loss of your former self

  • Relationships with partners, family, and friends

  • Boundaries, guilt, and expectations

  • Self-compassion and caring for yourself while caring for others

  • Building confidence and trust in yourself as a mother

This is not a parenting class.

It is a therapy group designed to help you understand yourself more deeply, navigate the challenges of early motherhood, and feel less alone in the process.
